    You Got To Give It Up!

     Why you gonna' let the devil bring you down
    The battle's not yours to fight
    When you gonna' learn to give it all to the Lord
    When you gonna' start to live right?
    You gotta' get it in your head, get it straight right now
    The devil's trying to take you down,
    He's got no power, just a bag full of lies
    And wants to turn your smile into a frown.
    You look this way, that way, a world full of sin
    You start thinking about your sins in the past,
    Entertaining thoughts that were all locked up
    Came to life cause you gave in at last.
    Don't fall for that trick, all the lust and the lies
    Cause the devil wants to steal your worth,
    Doing everything he can trying to bring you back
    Into sin before you leave this earth.

    You got to give it up, give it all to the Lord
    The battle's not yours to fight,
    You got to give it up, give it all to the Lord
    You got to start to learn to live right
    Open your eyes before it's too late
    Make it right with the Lord right now
    When the battle seems tough and you've had enough
    Just praise God anyhow.

    You got the lust of the flesh, the lust in your eyes
    Everything the devil needs to win,
    Taking your eyes off the Lord to go back
    Into your old life filled with sin.
    So now you've back-slidden, turned away from the Lord
    Brought the devil back into your life,
    Walking around like you like you don't have a clue
    Why your life is now filled with strife.
    Why you looking confused like you don't understand
    A single word that I'm trying to say,
    I'm trying to tell now, get your life back on track
    Or you will pay on Judgment Day.
    Stop living in the world, stop living in the flesh
    Stop fooling yourself every day.
    When you gonna learn to give it up to the Lord
    Jesus Christ is the only way.

    Why you want to keep walking in this world
    Seeking favor and approval from man,
    You got to get it straight, turn your eyes to the Lord
    He's the only One who does understand.
    I'm trying to tell you now give it up the the Lord
    All you hurt, all your pain, all your strife,
    The devil doing to everything that he can
    To destroy everything in your life.
    No need to fear, no need to get depressed
    Just do your very best to make it right.
    Then the Lord will direct, and He'll even protect
    And keep you safe through the day and the night.
    He'll come in your life and will dry every tear
    Give you hope when you thought there was none.
    When you call out His name - Jesus is the life
    Then my friend you'll know He's the one.
