In Stillness With the Lord
"In Stillness With the Lord"
By Fitzhugh G. Houston
(Inspirational poetry / Spirit Rhymes 2)
Have no fear, we MUST stand still
In the presence of the Lord,
Cause if we don't no matter who prays
We are not in one accord.
Not in accord with the Holy Spirit
Who want what's best for us,
Our very own thoughts can pull us down
Then we throw ourselves under the bus.
In stillness with the Lord - let it ALL out
Our anger, our fears, our pain,
In stillness with the Lord let it ALL go
Or the pain will remain the same.
In stillness we MUST let it go
If we ever want God to heal,
He'll turn everything around in our life
Cause we know our God is real.
In stillness with the Lord we rest
Giving thanks for all He's done,
In His presence we feel total peace
Through Jesus Christ we've won.
So always rememer the fight is His
His Word say "Hold your peace,"
It is when we do stand still with the Lord
That we'll finally understand His peace.
