Mom, I See You Inside of Me
Mom, I can still feel your love for meThough your mind is not all there,
I wish I could wave a magic wand
To let you know how much I care.
In your face I see the memories
Of all the good times we've had
I can't stop thanking you for all you've done
Through the good times and the bad.
But no matter what, you never gave up
Supporting your "little boy,"
You never ever questioned the goals I had
Or the choices I did employ.
Many times I've stopped to laugh at myself
Cause I said something just like you,
Sometimes I faced just what we've faced
And remembered, "What did my mom do?"
So I'm glad to say though your mind's far away
Your Light shines bright in me,
The loving mother who gave her all
To do what's best for me.
I love you, mom, and always will
Even if you're far from me,
I know each time I think about you
I'll always see you in me.
