What is it with the world today
Driven by power and lust,
Lust does come in many forms
But they all can violate your trust.

Trust is something not easily attained
Takes hard work to achieve,
But when betrayed and trust destroyed
Repair is hard to achieve.

To open your heart and give your all
To love and cherish each day,
Then let someone who could care less
Try to pull you away.

Whether its flesh, drugs or money
That seeks to destroy your trust,
Protecting your love and what matters most
That priority is a must.

One quick moment with a fling in the past
Can destroy the heart of the one
Who worked so hard on the relationship
The one whose heart you had won.

For though that moment was O so brief
The wound can cause much pain,
For trust betrayed will cause much doubt
Will love ever live again?

The only way to avoid that fate
Put a value on your trust,
Do you feel it's really worth losing it all
Because you gave in to lust.
