The Stubborn Soul

Some read the Bible and give no thought
To the words that lie within,
Then they put it down and go right out
And enjoy the world full of sin.

Why read the Bible like its just a book
A novel with a real good twist,
Better take heed in what you read
I'm not asking but I really insist.

Why read the Word if you have no faith
But you think you have what it takes,
You need the Word to light the way
Else your life will be full of mistakes.

Some believe the Word is just a book
Just another Bible story to tell,
Not know the longer they think that way
Just brings them closer to hell.

Some people are stubborn or even hard-headed
Refusing to believe in God,
Looking at all that God has created
Yet still not believing - that's odd.

We can't force the Word into another soul
What we can do is plant the seed,
Praying one day they will see the light
And know He's just what they need.
