A Bad Choice Will Bring You Down

The choices we make can shape our world
And life in so many ways,
The choices we make can bring us joy
Or be the reason that we have bad days.

Doing what's wrong or doing what's right
Comes down to a very simple choice,
It's really not hard if you really take heed
And listen to the Holy Spirit's voice.

That voice will never let you down
Will never lead you the wrong way,
He always knows what's best for you
Unless you choose another way.

That other way, your way, can bring you down
To a life of pain and strife,
And then you ask God,"Why'd You do this to me?"
When your choice, not God, changed your life.

You can choose the darkness, you can choose the light
You can choose to start over again,
God did give us the power to choose
In the hope that we wouldn't choose sin.

For there are many who chose the world, not God
And now they're on the very wrong path,
Not knowing that every step they take
Brings them closer to feeling God's wrath.

Choose life over death, my friend, I pray
That you be very careful what you choose,
A very bad choice will bring you down
And be the only reason that you lose.
