Some Things Aren't What They Seem

Many things in this world are not what they seem
And the truth is right in our face,
But its really easy to miss if you are fixed on the world
Cause the signs are all over the place.

It's so easy to desire the wealth and the fame
Without God and what its gonna' cost,
Would having that dream really be that sweet
If your salvation is what is lost.

If the means to achieve is against your belief
You really should turn and run the other way,
Cause if you don't you'll get sucked in
And regret the choice you made that day.

The temptation is so real when you say "at any cost"
The line you're gonna cross is very fine,
For the devil is ready to give you all you ever wanted
Just sign the dotted line.

The dotted line that will seal your eternal fate
After that there'll be nothing you can say,
For when you love the world, all the money, all the fame
Without God, you're heading the other way.

So let the Lord bless your life, your health and your wealth
Be a blessing to those in need who come your way,
For the Lord does not bless your wealth to spend all on yourself
But to let it flow through you from day to day.
