An Epiphany in December

I awoke this morning with a frightening thought
And remembered how I started this year,
But now I'm in the final month
And my goals are nowhere near.

I got to wake up and get back on track
And end this year with a bang,
Cause if I don't I'll lose my drive
And have to start over again.

Do whatever you have to do to make yourself see
That you can be your own enemy,
Who is blocking your goals and your dreams
From being what you want to be.

Put procrastination in it's place
Or it'll freeze everything you do,
Pray for the focus that you know you need
And Jesus will see you through.

So Lord I pray for strength today
To do what needs to get done,
Cause the last thing I NEVER EVER want to say
Is this year the devil has won.
