Our young people are important to us

To them we pass the baton,

But many are destroying their lives each day

Out of fear of what lies beyond.

Some feel neglected with no self worth

Or reason to go on,

We’ve got to try to lead the way

Before their soul is gone.

The devil knows how to destroy our youth

While they’re busy growing up.

Putting distractions in their path

That’s slowly eating them up.

Hormone’s flowing – sex in their face

Everywhere they turn their head,

Adults beware – please help our youth

Before they’re spiritually dead.

Young people like to test the water

To see how far they can go.

Not knowing that game can bring them down

Then they’re lost before we know.

So all we can do is plant the seed

And pray for them each night,

Teaching them all about God’s word

So they’ll know how to live right.
