    Guarding My Mind and Spirit

     Each day I guard my mind and spirit
    And submit them to You O Lord,
    For I know there is NOTHING the devil can do
    When we're on one accord.

    One accord because I start my day
    By giving You all my praise,
    Thanking you for waking me up yet again
    Thanking you for all my days.

    When I am one with You, O Lord
    All I feel is peace,
    Confidently dwelling in the secret place
    I know the devil MUST cease.

    I guard my mind, my spirit, my heart
    By following the Word's direction,
    Knowing that whatever the devil will do
    I'm under Psalm 91 protection.

    Attacking my life with negative thoughts
    Trying to bring my spirits down,
    Devil, you know you'll NEVER succeed
    With my Lord & Savior around.

    Each day I guard my ENTIRE life
    With the blood You shed for me,
    For I know no matter how hard things seem
    I'll still walk in victory.

    more like a prayer than a poem - should be inspirational to some people
