What's Wrong with Celebrating Halloween?

What's wrong with celebrating Halloween?
Dressing like the devil is fun,
That's until you realize you've opened hell's door
And now the devil has you on the run.

When you celebrate something not knowing it's past
You bring that past into your life,
Thinking past evil was long ago
No way could it cause you any strife.

Truth is demon's are not bound by time
The demons back then are still here,
And when you celebrate not knowing that past
Those very same demons come near.

Trick or treat meant a sacrifice from your home
A family member if they came to your door.
And if you didn't give them up to "them"
A "spirit of death would come back to get more.

So they put out their punkins with a candle-lit face
Maybe that will scare demons away,
Or dress yourself up in scary masks and garb
Hoping that will scare the demons away.
 
Those who were chosen to be sacrificed
There was only one way out of that place,
Refuse to be burned to death on the stake
Bobbing for apples in scolding water destroyed your face.

The Word says not to get involved with the things
In this world in such a way,
For you're setting in motion evil spirits in the past
To come into your life today.

This poem is not to bring you fear
For the truth will set you free,
The only way to stop evil demons in the dark
Is to use your authority.

Walk in this world and be free of fear
Jesus gave us all we need to be free!
No demon in hell can do us any harm
If our "mind is stayed on Thee."
