Protecting My Salvation

I worked so hard to get it right
My salvation is now in tact,
But you can't get lazy get it straight
The devil wants to pull you back.

So once you're saved protect yourself
From things you used to do,
Don't get it twisted the devil's trying
To get his hands on you.

To pull you back with the lust of the flesh
And his lies you know so well,
His hope is that you'll listen to him
As he leads you straight to hell.

So protect yourself, it's your salvation
You've worked so hard to achieve,
You'll never lose a single battle
With God if you just believe.

Believe in the power in His name and His  blood
The power you have within,
The power you have over every attack
Over the devil and every sin.

So don't give in to the things of this world
In God you must hold your peace ,
For the devil is here to destroy your life
So your pain and suffering will increase.

Lord, help me stay strong in my walk
To stay close in these final days,
For I know the devil can't do a thing
If I always walk in your ways.
