    Poem Commentary

    One of three rap songs the Lord gave to me right after telling a young person that "listening to all that rap music is destroying your mind." My revelation after this experience was "ok, it is not rap music that is destroying the mind, but the kind of rap you're listening to." God is good!

    Nobody Does it Like Jesus

     I've been living my life thinking I'm real tough
    Seeking love and respect but never getting enough.
    So I got into drugs had my game plan down
    Got drunk like a skunk and went further on down.
    Never thought that I would, that I could, that I should
    Live like a man with a head hard as wood
    Then the Lord came down put a song in my heart
    Gave me hope and a dream to make a brand new start.

    Nobody does it like Jesus
    Nobody does it like my Lord (Jesus is the only way)
    Nobody does it like Jesus
    Nobody does it like my Lord.

    I spend most of my time hanging with my boys
    Checking out the babes looking cute as toys,
    Thinking I was grown, thinking I was free
    Little did I know they were laughing at me.
    Sitting back, talking smack
    Living in my dream world there's nothing I lack.
    Lord came down said "Use your head!"
    "Keep up what you're doing pretty soon you'll be dead."

    Nobody does it like Jesus

    Nobody does it like Jesus
    Nobody does it like my Lord.

    I look back at the past, look back at my life
    I think about the pain, the hurt and the strife.
    I think about the days that I never was free
    Never listened to the voice deep inside of me.
    Love and trust is a must
    Give it to the Lord people "in God we trust"
    I don't even want to think about where I'd be
    If Jesus Christ didn't set me free.

    Really enjoyed reading this piece there is so much about the truth and life to be learned from this piece. Many a soul have been down the path you have described. Yes indeed where would we if Jesus Christ wouldn't have made the sacrifice that set us free indeed. Great melody, rhythm and rhyme flow with this. Also this is a strong witness of faith for or Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Awesome rap song I hope you get it out there where it can save souls. God BLESS Randy
