    "The Prison in My Mind"

    I pray to the Lord each and every day
    For the peace that I must find,
    For if I don't what does await
    Is the prison in my mind.
    The prison that keeps my goals locked up 
    My purpose and self-worth,
    The prison that will keep from ever reaching
    My purpose here on earth.
    All the devil does is attack my mind
    The only power he's ever had,
    His lies, deceit and lust of the flesh 
    Can turn our good to bad.
    I pray, O Lord, please keep me strong 
    To NEVER believe his lies,
    I'm doing my best til my last breath
    To keep my eyes on the prize.
    The prize that lies in my salvation 
    And eternity with my Savior,
    I'm not about to let the devil come in
    And ruin my good behavior.
    So devil give up, you can't tempt me
    With deception and every kind of lust,
    You don't understand I have one goal -
    Trusting God is an absolute must.
    Lord, touch my life and give me strength
    To keep the peace I find,
    I'll never let the devil lock me up
    In the prison in my mind.
