A Need to Pray on Mother's Day

I feel the need to pray this day
Give a toast to moms everywhere,
Who did it right no matter what the cost
And made it a point to always be right there.

I pray for all who still have their mom
But their minds have drifted astray,
We hold on to every memory we can
Knowing their time is not far away.

I pray for all who have lost their mom
Cherishing memories of all she had done,
For in the end we'll see them again
It's a course we ALL have to run.

I pray for those who are filled with pain
Who never had or experienced a mom's love,
Don't let that void fill your heart with hate
Instead focus on God's unconditional love.

Lord, I pray on this Mother's Day
So many emotions fill the air,
No matter how we love or are filled with pain
We know You will be right there.
