He Came into This World

He came into this world to save us from ourselves
A world full of sin and total corruption,
A world so far from the one that He created
Their sins had fully sealed their destruction.

That one simple rule not to eat the forbidden fruit
Was that really too much for our Father to ask?
But just like today distractions, lust and schemes
The devil continues to carry out his task.

Cause if he had his way we'd all burn in hell
Watching him dance around thinking that he's won,
But no matter how he celebrated the one truth remained
God's victory came when He sent His son.

Unlike the times before rather than wipe the slate clean
With Jesus came a very serious choice,
To continue living your life letting the devil be your guide
If you fail to really listen for God's voice.

But when the Son returns and hopes we really learned
That the fullness of the Lord can change your life,
That's when we'll truly learn about the power of the Lord
Who'll be right here to end all pain and strife.
