The Battle For Your Peace of Mind

Sometimes the thoughts that come in your mind
Make you feel you're out of control,
Thoughts so dark - it takes your peace
And rocks your world deep in your soul.

The thoughts try to fill your mind with doubt
Like nothing you have ever heard,
Thoughts that would add to your pain and strife
If you don't hold on to God's Word.

The devil tries to make you doubt God's Word
To see if that will let him in,
And once he's in he will do his best
To pull you back into sin.

The battle for your peace includes your joy
For the joy of the Lord is your strength,
That's why we put on the whole arnor of God
To protect our faith at any length.

It's an all out battle for your peace of mind
Resist the devil and he will flee.
But you've got to keep praying each and every day
If you ever really want to walk free.

The devil is relentless and will never give up
Sending attacks of every kind,
But Jesus gave you everything you'll ever need
To win the battle for your peace of mind.
