The Reason for the Season
Jesus is the reason, He’s the reason for the season
Jesus is the reason and I give Him all the praise.
Jesus is the reason, He’s the reason for the season
Jesus is the reason cause He changed my evil ways.
I think about the reason - every single season
Think about the way He gave His life for you and me.
Think about the reason – without rhyme or reason
How He came into my life and finally made me see.
Don’t even want to think about
When I drifted from His path.
Doing stupid even crazy things
He saved me from God’s wrath.
Jesus is the reason, He’s the reason for the season
Jesus is the reason and I praise Him everyday.
Jesus is the reason, He’s the reason for the season
Jesus is the reason that I take time, stop and pray.
Lost in the muck and mire, the lust of human desire
Lost in obsession like gas fueling fire.
Obsessed, for control – solutions, cannot find
Confused, I can never find a state of peace of mind.
Tired of pounding, emotions rebounding
Don’t know when this will end.
And then I met my Lord and savior
And made Him my best friend.
Jesus is the reason, He’s the reason for the season
Jesus is the reason and I give Him all my days.
Jesus is the reason, He’s the reason for the season
Jesus is the reason and I give Him all my praise.
Thank you, Lord, for saving my life
When You could have passed on by.
Thank you, Lord for my salvation
And never asking why.
Thank you, Lord, for my new life
My goals I give to You.
Take them, Lord and let me know
What You want me to do.
Thank you for your love and joy
I’ve tried so hard to find.
Thank you for I’ve found that peace
I’ve found that peace of mind..
Thank you, Lord, for everything
My list goes on and on.
Thank you, Lord, in You I trust
My fear is finally gone.
Jesus, You are the reason - the reason for the season
I lift You up and give You praise - you lead me all the way.
Jesus, You’re the reason – the reason for the season
I give You all the glory cause You’re why I’m here to day.
