What's the Big Deal? Racism is Real!

A person actually posted "What's the big deal?"
When George Floyd lost his life,
That comment revealed the problem in our nation 
So many are clueless why's there's so much strife.

To watch a man pleading for his life
While the "bad" cop snirked at the crowd,
Over and over George said, "I can't breathe!"
But saving George's life was NOT allowed.

For four minutes after George laid motionless
The cop refused to move his knee,
It wasn't until a fellow officer said, "Get up!"
That George's lifeless body was set free.

What's the big deal?  That day of hate
And racism filled the air,
Murder on camera burned into our minds
Brought protests from everywhere.

Finally the beast has been exposed
Racist views are all around,
Unless you've lived in fear because you're black
Will you know racism has a sound.

Never understanding racial profiling
You're guilty because you are black,
And also understanding that with that hate
Is the training that many cops lack.

To abuse one race far above the others
Shows a motive that is deep within,
A race abused since slavery
Will NOT go through this again.

So here we are on the brink of civil war
The time to pray is at hand,
Only with the hand of Almighty God
Will there ever be healing in this land.
