It's so hard to wait on You, Lord
Cause my flesh wants everything now,
So hard to keep my self-esteem
O God, please show me how.

I keep reading how those who wait on You
Receive blessings all around,
I just don't want to let my impatience
Block my blessings and bring me down.

I take deep breaths trying to calm myself
O Lord please forgive my stress,
I'm fighting to keep my mind on You
For I know sometimes it's a test.

But most of all, Lord, give me strenghth
To keep my mind on You,
For once I felt Your eternal peace
That peace, it pulled me through.

It's O so hard to wait on You, Lord
Please don't give up on me,
You know my heart, Lord, that all I want
Is to be what YOU want me to be.
