Excuse Me, World, As America Heals
Excuse me, world, I know it looks badBut America is trying to be great,
Right now we fighting two viruses
The pandemic and the disease of hate.
Excuse me, world, I know you're laughing
When corruption starts at the top,
Democracy attacked at it's very core
Insurrection knocking at the door.
Refusing to concede and order recounts
With people dying every day,
Refusing to meet with those who can heal
Cause he lost he had nothing to say.
Political mess has done much damage
And pulled our nation apart,
The problem's much bigger than we ever believed
It's been there from the start.
It hurts to see our nation implode
For hatred from the past still lives,
It's an uphill battle seeking unity
When hearts full of hate can't give,
Excuse me, world, we'll get it together
Our nation has much to fix,
But healing will never ever take place
If we keep God out of the mix.
