    The Truth Strikes Home

    Now I'm so angry
    for holding everything in
    while self righteous hypocrites
    indulge in every conceivable sin

    While the rumors that taint
    this reality black
    seem to take on a life of its own,
    I'm not throwing anything back

    Polite and civil
    suffering through such drivel
    yet they will never listen
    even if the truth strikes home

    If they don't hear it
    then it never occurred,
    if they can't relate
    then denial dislocates

    To each his own
    is a complete cop out
    maybe go it alone
    struggling through this doubt

    The little voice in this head
    is going around the bend
    cool, calm and collected
    never quite reaching the end
