A Universal Truth
A Universal Truth:
we are shit
held together by anger
rejection, distrust, and spit
Gazing into mirrors
looking further than intended
bombarding, seething molecules
living a lifetime of ridicule
Dancing over embers
with thoughts black as coal
Living through December
as tragedies take its toll
This is becoming too personal
a rejected hand to hold
All his friends have married
drowned in some hormonal tidal wave
Finding life rather harried
dropped out just to get away
A Universal Truth:
What does it matter?
As he loses weight
the ingrates are becoming fatter
intoxicated with supposed righteousness
these emotions just make him sadder
Living out of boxes
dismissing his presence as clutter
Turned their backs on honesty
now thoughts read like confused stutter
