Disconnection is the Norm
...and the rain came down
speaking in whispers in twilight
words barely on the tongue
lost among the stars
Sleep in the eyes
half formed observations
that cut to the bone
maybe more than mere white lies
This is no flying carpet
so pull the rug from beneath
five strikes of lightning
stripping away foundations
All this gray matter
disconnection is the norm
will not come on demand
to mere dust mites and ghosts
Not sure where this is headed
dancing beneath the moonlight
riding waves to the shoreline
lost in fire fly flashes
