She cares about others
but who is there for him?
Nobody
so he sits in this room
naked and alone
lost in these emotions
that cling to the bone
Is this nothing more
than some self pity moment
that chills to the core?
or just another mess of emptiness
with soured expectations in store?
A sad movie brings a tear to his eyes
an emotional fathomless well
that erupts into hell
feeling to the point that he must cry
men silently do
because they are only human too
not these cardboard cutouts
that bend to any shape
that one could want them to
Some day he will look back
with a smile on his face
thinking how he lost track
dropped out of this perpetual race
Don't want to compete
just want to feel complete
somehow become whole again
before he becomes the conclusion
to some bittersweet end
