Unappreciated and Unloved
Unappreciated and unloved
left in a corner
dust covers all
especially family memories
Wondering what ails you
that compels you to be hateful
when maybe you should be grateful
that a sibling cared about you
Never was rich
yet you had the finest things
now all you do is bitch
and whine about everything
Cannot ask for help
handouts are not my way
rather suffer in silence
snuggle in the arms of dismay
Brandishing a whip called hate
you try and decide my fate
lost like a little piece of flotsam
caught in a never-ending maelstrom
Patriarchal values seem so hollow
this strange line of reasoning
I could never follow
trailing behind such emptiness and sorrow
Maybe there is no tomorrow
this is the pivotal peak
left with pages of useless words
too indifferent to even speak
I cry out to ghosts
the silence mocks me
siblings so pretentious
playing games of pretend
acting like they are your friend
they will laugh until the end
