The Lessons I Will Never Learn
In your car
a suffocating atmosphere so hard
want to open this door
escape between the houses
through the neighboring yards
run away
from this total disarray
that has become my life
Don't mean to lead you on
with kind words
or a gentle caress
emotions running hot and cold
adding fire to this mess
you have caused this stress
trying to gain the upper hand
as far as I can tell
every road leads to hell
Wanting to scream
release it all and cry
to the deep black skies
let it all go tonight
wash away everything
to the painted on smiles
and all the pointless trials
to every Murphy's law
and every reputed flaw
to these emotions that burn,
to the lessons I will never learn
