    Make This Seem Worthwhile

    Playing these silly games
    2 steps forward
    toward some promised land
    that never quite happens

    After all this time
    you'd think I'd get it right
    but I'm too uptight
    to see things clearly

    Beating myself up again
    torturous thoughts in this head
    never seem to make a first impression
    never going to improve now

    When will someone just wise up
    step away from this obscurity
    with a flurry of activity
    a crazy kind of urgency?

    Pouring out these unspoken thoughts
    onto a world wide web
    like a crawling spider
    categorizing this head

    Dreaming of life
    of love that hasn't quite happened yet
    never minding all those moments
    that I would soon forget
