House of Cards
In a house with freaks
that outwardly look like anyone
however, how they interact
is a whole other matter
Lock themselves away
in some make believe
ivory princess tower,
over a one car garage
Wine flows like water,
make that Tequila, Irish whiskey
dogs are wonderful subjects
because it will never plainly object
Something is wrong here
a car was left on
see the bluish haze?
delusional people just fade away
On the TV
some Japanese Tsunami
crashing wave after wave
the screen just silently screams
Yet the snow is melting
all over the courtyard
and the friendly neighbors wave
while tending to their backyards
Marriage is a house of cards
the loneliness can cripple hard
empty promises, barren words
leaden sky, fly away birds
