Four Days Later
Look right through me,acting as if I wasn't there...
Can you see right through me?
penetrate this angry stare?
Gather around your friends,
alcohol clouding judgment,
so the party never quite ends,
forced to climb another brick wall
Four days later and you do not recall
the angry behavior towards me at all
to forgive and forget
is the Christian way,
turn the other cheek
to wallow away
There is no reply
a one sentence text,
not containing sorrowful words
like, I'm so sorry...
Passive ,then aggressive,
hiding dormant again,
don't ask me for favors
this relationship is at an end
Putting the blame on everyone else
don't try to deny
all the misgivings inside,
don't try to justify them...
smiling at me, as you crucify...
