Every Day You Cease To Be (adult)
Bursting, fiery fireworks bombarding outside
neighbors having a fifth, on the fourth
lights fantastic, every conceivable hue,
why am I here,
sitting in front of this computer screen
alone in my room?
Wasn't this supposed to be a family holiday,
At least, that's how it was,
all those faded yesterdays ,
used to smoke Marlboro Light 100's,
used to drink like some fucked up alcoholic,
every Friday night,
shirtless, on that dance floor
won't come in your mouth,
or up your ass
so damaged...
Now I sit alone in a quiet room,
pathetically ignored and ridiculed,
by some foreign fool,
using 'family', like a tool
how can I be the only one,
seeing through these twisted views?
Are these disconnected words,
finally hitting some nerves?
If only this wallowing away
served some purpose today
Wipe that smile off your face
every day you cease to be
always on my case
but the funny thing is
family is just a 6 -lettered word
this is seriously wrong...
