Strange Universe
On the road of life
such emptiness and misery
that is what was handed to me
yet in some alternate reality
happily settled down
in a well to do town
with 4 kids, a wife and dog
yes this strange universe
has an apparent sense of humor
which I find about as amusing
as a malignant tumor
sooner than I think
this sorry life will turn around
heading into an upswing
and I will make sense of everything
becoming one with this strange universe
that keeps throwing me curves
one either ducks or swerves
before anything bad occurs
I'm a defiant South Paw
struggling through endless Murphy's Laws
that always seems to be
overlapping and contradicting
cutting loose,
then baring down and constricting
tell me,
which side is actually winning?
