Snow In April
Snow in April
backyard is a mud pit
splattered marks on these boots
wearing flooded, plaid pajama bottoms
Well, it is a wash day
Drinking cups of coffee
to stimulate this mind
hopping onto the computer
searching for indie movies
finding everything I've ever wanted
But what do I need?
find the courage to get up and leave
this lethargic feeling
wash it all away
down the kitchen sink
On these web sites
hooked on flash games
came to the conclusion
stagnant life down the drain
in a darkened place, in total seclusion
Out of the loop
with a family who never have
anything positive to say
but they'll cling to everything
strewn to ruin, and follow through
Obliterate this tomb
a crack in the sky
rays of sunlight shine down
illuminating the yard,
I'm shining so hard
