We Are All The Same
They're not feeling this
the words that line this head
as the world is asunder
stormy skies addressing thunder
rudely announcing
yet another storm
But what is on the horizon?
optimism is just another prison
pull out the rug from stinking me
what you perceive
is not necessarily what you get
what ever you believe
or else you forget
reciting phrases like some demented litany
rattling around inside that head
on guard
not a snob
just inwardly reserved
dodging another bullet
or Life's inevitable curves
not straight
as if you couldn't guess
yet how we all relate
in our own chaotic mess
the truth is
we are all the same
no heros anymore
just finger pointing blame
