Stalmate
I called them
but they never answered
trying to be a friend
but honesty never seemed to matter
Now this silence is deafening
wondering what actions
the disillusioned will bring?
maybe I should give them a ring?
No, no absolutely not
I know where I stand
the rest can go rot
let go of this hand
I'm not taking sides
I cannot be a confidant
opinions honestly do not matter
what about others needs and wants?
Watching frozen flakes
parading across the skies
clinging to the greenery
a changing of the scenery
I spill blood
yet it’s never enough
cough up restitutions
bursting through such illusions
Now I sit here and wonder
not quite shaken
but thoroughly perturbed
waiting on them
to justify their silent words
