Torn Asunder
Meek and mild, weak in the wild,
For him the pack shows no mercy.
It is the nature of the beast
To bring down its final judgment;
This offered prey torn asunder.
A fractured shard has fallen,
Now split from its opulent splendor.
No rays gleam forth the spectrum
Or light is cast in reflection;
A crystal stone torn asunder.
With loose footing in life’s endeavors
His step is unsteady, far too uncertain.
This awkward fault seals his fate,
Left to tumble from a mountain pass;
Human flesh torn asunder.
Cursed of strife and madness
This bitter pill is too large to swallow.
Mediocrity is set at the inseam,
The tapestry splits at the slightest strain;
The Temple viel torn asunder.
For him the pack shows no mercy.
It is the nature of the beast
To bring down its final judgment;
This offered prey torn asunder.
A fractured shard has fallen,
Now split from its opulent splendor.
No rays gleam forth the spectrum
Or light is cast in reflection;
A crystal stone torn asunder.
With loose footing in life’s endeavors
His step is unsteady, far too uncertain.
This awkward fault seals his fate,
Left to tumble from a mountain pass;
Human flesh torn asunder.
Cursed of strife and madness
This bitter pill is too large to swallow.
Mediocrity is set at the inseam,
The tapestry splits at the slightest strain;
The Temple viel torn asunder.
