This Moribund Reminder
The roaring crackles
And defiant sparks
Are echoing yet again.
The nauseating sounds
Of disintegration are cycling
Through my pulsing, slushy, skull.
A cataclysm has come
Once more to rob and plunder
My unquenchable hopes for normalcy.
Is this to meet some uncertain objective
Toward some sick unknown end?
My feet move slight and labored.
Breath is tarred and forced.
Action is oblivion or its forerunner.
My thoughts are oblique; concentration, absent.
Diagnosis; A myocardial mishap,
Bringing the malaise of malcontent.
All self understanding is altered.
This lifespan has faltered.
I'm left with a dingy disillusion,
Fraying at my fettered edges,
From decay, who loudly announces entropy's unraveling.
It asks I come of age with this moribund reminder.
And defiant sparks
Are echoing yet again.
The nauseating sounds
Of disintegration are cycling
Through my pulsing, slushy, skull.
A cataclysm has come
Once more to rob and plunder
My unquenchable hopes for normalcy.
Is this to meet some uncertain objective
Toward some sick unknown end?
My feet move slight and labored.
Breath is tarred and forced.
Action is oblivion or its forerunner.
My thoughts are oblique; concentration, absent.
Diagnosis; A myocardial mishap,
Bringing the malaise of malcontent.
All self understanding is altered.
This lifespan has faltered.
I'm left with a dingy disillusion,
Fraying at my fettered edges,
From decay, who loudly announces entropy's unraveling.
It asks I come of age with this moribund reminder.
