The Healing
One Stands above
At the top of the butte
Awaiting what will come,
A vision for the day.
Two are the ways,
Choice the divining rod.
Step on unto the path
Toward journey's end.
Three then will be
Grounded into the whole,
Between above and below,
To walk the red road
Four directions here
Where the center is the one
From where one exits
And to which one returns.
Five are the senses
That can make little sense
On this still platue.
The vision quest has just begun.
Six is the spirit world
Where thought becomes flight,
Greeted by the totem guide,
In this land of no time.
Seven gives good medicine
That completes the circle,
Taking back sickness
To the point of none.
At the top of the butte
Awaiting what will come,
A vision for the day.
Two are the ways,
Choice the divining rod.
Step on unto the path
Toward journey's end.
Three then will be
Grounded into the whole,
Between above and below,
To walk the red road
Four directions here
Where the center is the one
From where one exits
And to which one returns.
Five are the senses
That can make little sense
On this still platue.
The vision quest has just begun.
Six is the spirit world
Where thought becomes flight,
Greeted by the totem guide,
In this land of no time.
Seven gives good medicine
That completes the circle,
Taking back sickness
To the point of none.
