Tender Mercies
With dreams of you
My hands fall upon,
My speech grows slow,
And my thoughts grow quiet.
While resting, wings raise up
Like sudden great mountains,
Transporting me over oceans
To settle by your side.
Glorious shards of sunshine
Glissen about your radiant face.
A small sparrow sings sweet praises
Dedicated in your name.
In my silence
I move toward your song,
An echo of eternal beauty
And a fountain of tender mercies
My hands fall upon,
My speech grows slow,
And my thoughts grow quiet.
While resting, wings raise up
Like sudden great mountains,
Transporting me over oceans
To settle by your side.
Glorious shards of sunshine
Glissen about your radiant face.
A small sparrow sings sweet praises
Dedicated in your name.
In my silence
I move toward your song,
An echo of eternal beauty
And a fountain of tender mercies
