Banishment
The time has come
To lay to rest all those mortal, mournful
And agonizing regrets
That haunt these otherwise
Blessed present moments
In words both respectful and sound
Condolence is given, with sympathy
Cast in its proper place,
To the err that is human,
And the loss that was divine.
If it's in Eulogy I speak,
Then it's self-forgiveness I ask.
So here I will say my words
For all the wonders
I will never know.
For all the gifts given
In their place.
'If I am to be taken tomorrow
I must thus be respectful of this day,
Without regret given to yesterday
With the past, present, and future
Being seen as the same,
With only one outcome,
This preternatural moment
Known as Now.'
To lay to rest all those mortal, mournful
And agonizing regrets
That haunt these otherwise
Blessed present moments
In words both respectful and sound
Condolence is given, with sympathy
Cast in its proper place,
To the err that is human,
And the loss that was divine.
If it's in Eulogy I speak,
Then it's self-forgiveness I ask.
So here I will say my words
For all the wonders
I will never know.
For all the gifts given
In their place.
'If I am to be taken tomorrow
I must thus be respectful of this day,
Without regret given to yesterday
With the past, present, and future
Being seen as the same,
With only one outcome,
This preternatural moment
Known as Now.'
