The Glow Of Decay
The carrion task that awaits
This bitter beak and unsavory tongue;
To seize meat from a host whose history
Was held among these lifeless limbs.
An availing existence gone on.
I, likened to this body,
Transmute once empowered flesh
Into a higher energy form.
This body was but a tool
On this predator plane
For bit lessons to be learned.
And once again it will
Return back through to its true source.
Thus was my attention attracted
Here today, with the glow of decay.
This bitter beak and unsavory tongue;
To seize meat from a host whose history
Was held among these lifeless limbs.
An availing existence gone on.
I, likened to this body,
Transmute once empowered flesh
Into a higher energy form.
This body was but a tool
On this predator plane
For bit lessons to be learned.
And once again it will
Return back through to its true source.
Thus was my attention attracted
Here today, with the glow of decay.
