Gnosis
A page is turned, a sentence is read,
Without warning something suddenly shifts.
A flicker becomes an all consuming flame.
This bonfire beckons you on as a world witness
Like a spontaneous human combustion
To awaken from within the full inner mind,
A blazing whirl of warmth enfolds you tight,
Blanketing you in the offer of supernova insight.
In this instant, all the dead tomes and grimoires
That laid shelved, dusty, and unabsorbed without,
Are given new life from a swift and certain knowing
In a brilliant fiery flash of complete transparency.
The Maya, The Dukka, The delusions,
The grand madness, dissipate serenely
Into a clarity, an unflinching certainty.
Left is only the “I” who has existed
Throughout the eons of ages.
Here is the thinker of thoughts,
The knowinger of all that is known,
The creative within the creator.
This is the silent self that longs to live
As one inside the single same self who,
In this miraculous moment
Is graced with the eye of Gnosis
Without warning something suddenly shifts.
A flicker becomes an all consuming flame.
This bonfire beckons you on as a world witness
Like a spontaneous human combustion
To awaken from within the full inner mind,
A blazing whirl of warmth enfolds you tight,
Blanketing you in the offer of supernova insight.
In this instant, all the dead tomes and grimoires
That laid shelved, dusty, and unabsorbed without,
Are given new life from a swift and certain knowing
In a brilliant fiery flash of complete transparency.
The Maya, The Dukka, The delusions,
The grand madness, dissipate serenely
Into a clarity, an unflinching certainty.
Left is only the “I” who has existed
Throughout the eons of ages.
Here is the thinker of thoughts,
The knowinger of all that is known,
The creative within the creator.
This is the silent self that longs to live
As one inside the single same self who,
In this miraculous moment
Is graced with the eye of Gnosis
