The Hunger
White Wolf hungered.
The twilight hunt
Called out for the predator
As well as the prey.
Black Night stealthily
Clouded in overhead,
The silent watcher,
Unmoved by Earth's events
White Wolf paced
The thought of a jugular,
Began to wet his pallet.
His victim awaited.
Black Crow fluttered
Upward, then circled around,
Eyes stalking out victims
As a partner on the prowl.
White Wolf closed in,
The Rabbit no longer
On the run or down the hole,
Simply red on white on white.
Black Death laughed with
Another cycle completed.
Wolf and Crow lost themselves
Full wrought in a frenzied feast.
The twilight hunt
Called out for the predator
As well as the prey.
Black Night stealthily
Clouded in overhead,
The silent watcher,
Unmoved by Earth's events
White Wolf paced
The thought of a jugular,
Began to wet his pallet.
His victim awaited.
Black Crow fluttered
Upward, then circled around,
Eyes stalking out victims
As a partner on the prowl.
White Wolf closed in,
The Rabbit no longer
On the run or down the hole,
Simply red on white on white.
Black Death laughed with
Another cycle completed.
Wolf and Crow lost themselves
Full wrought in a frenzied feast.
