The solution
It is a delusion to allude to an illusion.
(Our riches and power are a delusion.)
And…
Since allusion never speaks without confusion,
Perhaps the illusion of a poem is our delusion.
The solution
When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
