    The oldest brother was wise like the sea,
    His name:Ho-No-Susori-Mikoto.
    The other, the wisdom of the mountains,
    And called:Ho-Ho-Demi No Mikoto.

    The sea overcomes the mountains
    But they rise again from the storm.
    “Fire-Fade” loved Toyo-tama-hime
    but looked upon her forbidden form.

    In the child, Amaterasu and the deep
    Gave the earth a great fountain.
    Jomon shall surely return in this age
    To reclaim their sacred mountain
