    Recipe for an American Politician


    Take the faces from 500 populate
    Blend them into one archetype figure.
    Match this with a rich man’s son elite
    And you have a sure winner configure!

    The candidate should be properly skilled
    In law, language, and popularity.
    (a wife would make the man truly fulfilled)
    add virtues and deeds for sincerity.

    Cook these well with dad’s donated money
    For just two years in some public function.
    Have him smile, and be a little funny
    For 30 seconds at TV junctions.

    After election to the aspired post,
    Have him be silent and invisible.
    for
    “Old age and treachery
    Always overcomes
    Youth and skill.”
