    Quis custodiet ipsos custodies?



    I have been reading
    Chairman Mao’s
    Little red book.
    I have given up
    Counting the number
    Of times he uses
    The word:
    “democracy”
    as China’s goal.

    Our Leader has presented
    “democracy”
    as something American
    and as our fine gift
    to our dark world.
    One might say:
    “our burden”

    our nation is not
    a democracy
    but rather, a republic.
    India, on the other hand
    Is technically a
    Democracy (with warts)
    And the largest one
    In the world, ever.

    So…
    The word has broad meaning,
    Being rooted in the greek:
    “the people rule”.
    But the real question
    Is
    “who shall rule the people?”
