Mom teaches Karma
One day in Addis Ababa
Mom stepped into a column of ants.
She never noticed them until
They were well inside her pants.
A scream! A jump! Run for house!
Amazing what those ants did!
And yes, I laughed all too well.
Though my conscious did forbid.
Last week I went to put flowers
upon her grave far south of here.
In that peaceful place, a revenge.
Fireants got me right in the rear!
