    Ra always escapes Aapep

    Why does Thoth care?

    What is light?

     

     

    Author note: I am a little obsessed ….I have been reading “The Book of the Dead” (the Arab grave robbers called it “Kitab al-Mayyit”, by the way). Aapep is a very powerful demon, which the gods can not kill, but Thoth  gives Ra (the sun god) a spell which makes Aapee unable to move….and so the sun rises…….to me, in my time, Aapep represents the Dark Energy and Dark Matter that squeezes our flat universe of matter and light into an ever expanding disk.

    So there!
