A Road Not Taken
Some say peace can be bought by war.
Others want time so they can the facts explore.
But facts are fickle, depending what we seek
And what religion we adore.
For salvation, any price is cheap
And any thought is seen as weak.
Especially when you win a life when you lose it.
So their reasoning is completely oblique.
Then allow me this poem to submit
Before your action you commit.
See that emotion rarely makes us free
But rules us more that we admit.
Read beyond that war decree,
Before a life, we make debris.
And if you have no force to voice your plea,
At least the lies of war you will see.
